Your result shows your WPM and accuracy in Spanish. Expect a slightly lower score than in your strongest language at first - your fingers need time to learn new letter patterns.
Typing accented letters in Spanish
Spanish words are a little longer than English words on average, and accented vowels like á, é, í, ó and ú are common. On a Spanish keyboard you type an accent by pressing the dead key (´) and then the vowel. On a US keyboard, use the US-International layout and press ' followed by the vowel.
Letters you'll meet in Spanish: á é í ó ú ñ ü.
Practicing a second language
Typing in a new language trains two skills at once: spelling and finger movement. Short, frequent sessions work best. Try a 1 minute Spanish test every day, and use the Custom option to paste in vocabulary you're studying.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Spanish keyboard?
No. You can type most common Spanish words on any keyboard. For accented letters, switch your operating system's input to a Spanish or international layout.
Is WPM measured the same way in Spanish?
Yes. Every five correct characters count as one word, regardless of language, so scores are comparable across languages.
Which other languages are available?
