Frequently asked questions
Is the typing classroom free?
Yes. Creating classes, adding students, assigning lessons and viewing reports is free for teachers.
Do students need an email address?
Students need a TypingAcademy account so their progress can be saved. They can sign up with any email address or a Google account, then enter your 6-character join code.
What can I assign?
Any lesson from the touch typing course, or a timed typing test with an optional minimum WPM. Assignments are marked complete automatically when a student meets the goal.
Can I see which keys my students struggle with?
Yes. Each student's report shows tests taken, best and average WPM, accuracy and completed lessons so you can spot who needs extra help.
