Frequently asked questions
How do you stop cheating?
Every result is recalculated on our server from the raw keystrokes. Results with impossible timing, pasted text, scripted keystroke patterns or speeds above human limits are excluded from leaderboards.
Why isn't my score on the leaderboard?
Only verified results from signed-in users appear. Leaderboards also refresh every few minutes, so new scores can take a moment to show up.
Which test should I compete in?
The 1 minute words test is the most popular. Longer tests reward consistency and are considered more representative of real typing speed.
