How to play
- Type the first letter of any word to lock on to it; it turns highlighted.
- Keep typing to destroy it. A wrong key counts as a miss but keeps your lock.
- Each word that reaches your base costs one shield. You have five shields.
- Clear a wave to earn a bonus and face a bigger, faster wave.
What it teaches
Word Defense trains accuracy under pressure: misses lower your score multiplier, and you have to decide which word to target first. It's great practice for typing quickly without panicking.

How do I switch targets?
Press Escape to release your current target, then type the first letter of another word.
What is the combo multiplier?
Each word destroyed without a miss raises your multiplier, up to 5x. Any wrong key resets it.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Word Defense runs in any modern browser on a computer with a keyboard.
